A pipejacking first for Shenzhen in Guangdong Province, China
The Futian sewage treatment plant project in Shenzhen is an important emission reduction sewage cleaning project for Guangdong Provence, China. As part of the construction works a pipe jacked sewer pipeline some 713 metres long with an internal diameter of 3 metres was required to protect the National Mangrove Nature Reserve. The underground pipeline will transport 600,000 cubic metres of sewage water per day, and provide effective protection for the wetland ecosystem in Shenzhen. (more…)

São Paulo holes out
With some 9.8 million inhabitants (or some 16 million in the wider Metropolitan area), São Paulo is the largest city in Brazil. The Metro serving the City is one of the world’s youngest with a very modern construction. However, the lines that currently exist do not serve all of the populous areas of the City as yet. (more…)

Kombilösung in Karlsruhe: tunnelling machine at its goal
The advance for the 2 km long railway tunnel under the centre of Karlsruhe was completed with absolute precision on September 7 2015. Several product solutions from the VMT portfolio were in use and they contributed significantly to the successful project on our doorstep.
